Iterative Refinement

Here's my realtime chart and log. The log might be attached to my next posting.

To any and all of the succesful Hershey traders ( especially
SpyderTrader, CNMS2, and Avi ).

I modeled my log after Avi's posted log serval days ago.

I don't think my problem is in the Monitoring part but in really grasping and internalizing the gaussians. Avi had a few IF 1 / IF 2 situations in the log and I am hoping by posting my log you can help me see where I missed changed signals and flaws in my thinking.

Thank You !

EDIT - Green arrows long entries Red arrows Short Entry
The color on my volume chart is wrong.

I'm not knocking the system Ive been here through thick and thin just like anyone but this is a valid point of uneasiness which many have probably felt, and I'm trying to be talked through it.

If only someone had planned ahead, and talked you through the exact same scenario before you experienced it yourself.

What you have posted represents conflicting logic. If you cannot annotate Gaussians, then the problem most definitely resides with monitoring.

1. Stop changing the Price Bar Colors based on whether or not the bars show Outside or Inside Bar formation.

2. Make Volume a significantly larger portion of your screen.

3. Do not place any focus on Analysis, unless and until, you resolve all issues with respect to Monitoring.

4. Post a thoroughly annotated chart.

5. People who fail to grasp these methods - each - have at least one thing in common - failure to post a thoroughly annotated chart.

Maybe, just maybe, one learns far more from thoroughly annotating charts, than simply how to draw trend lines.

Today I started annotating charts again after a 2+ weeks charting vacation.

This is my third attempt at the method. Many of you have pointed out the importance of posting charts - and Spydertrader did just that as late as off today - so I'm now posting my first chart for public scrutiny. And honestly, I had decided to post even before Spydertraders post today :D .

Today the first few bars were confusing and I found it hard to see the gaussians at times. Don't know if it was the market conditions or me being rusty.

I use NT but have removed all fancy autodrawing except LostTraders great PRV indicator since I actually find them distracting and I'm afraid they'll make me lazy.

I look forward to all and any constructive criticism (and any other feedback) from those of you whom have the time to give it.

cheers,
tobbe

First Three Bars of the day. The market has yet to enter into 'sync.' As a result, today, we see a battle for dominance between red and black, long and short, up and down. After 'sync' takes place, things become much clearer.

Middle of the day confusion. You have an FTT which made a lower low, so you think red bar with an Intra-Bar Gaussian Shift. After an FTT, we expect to see Price retrace to the RTL on decreasing Volume. Instead we see Price break the RTL on increasing Volume. Again, not unexpected when Price breaks an RTL. However, we 'see' Price close back within the channel forming an unexpected FBO. What do intermediate and expert traders do when they 'see' an FBO? Now, since Price has returned to the down channel we expect Price moving lower on increasing Volume. A perfect example of an instance where the Point 2 - Point 3 retrace devlops on increasing Volume. Next, we see Price break out and remain out of the channel on increasing Volume - exactly as expected.

Review Guavaman's charts today. They look pretty good. Make sure to note the one (what appears to be a channel) tape - which has no increasing black Volume gaussian.

Hope that helps.
