Iterative Refinement

I'd advise doing the drill Spydertrader recommended: make the decision continuation / change only at the end of each bar (immediately after it's closing), like in Tikitrader's "wmcn drill 1". During the bar just annotate, sweep, analyze.

so it's not always a binary decision.

The process is always binary - continuation or change. However, when one arrives at the action step, a trader may choose (based on context) to hold through the faster fractal changes, in favor of, maintaining a position in the direction of the dominant (IT) trend. In other words, a trader should follow signals for change on their trading fractal based on the tool set used. By following the signals of the correct tool set, the trader then learns to avoid 'jumping fractals' while monitoring for signals of change.

I kinda wanted to label the charts in logical order, but I had a diaper change and bottle feeding while doing this, in addition to lots of crying from the wee one that just entered the family.
Have a great Sunday

I think I know how you feel: playing mind games with charts feels good when life throws at you demands you can't even think about circumventing ... :)

In my opinion, to get a better feeling where a chart is headed is better to try to firstly identify a context rooted in the big picture, then narrow down your focus to the latest signals. Come up with a current "right sight of the market", and roll in your mind the films of WMCN, and WMnCN. You didn't seem to go this way about the ES daily. For example: your "daily3" last blue channel up establishes a point 3 on increasing red volume, which seems unlikely. Another example: your "daily" establishes a very wide and only slightly down channel in which anything can happen. Both channels look artificial to me. And so on.

Hi cnms2,
Here is what I am anticipating for the blue up. In my opinion this is what continue looks like if point 3 is established.
