Iterative Refinement

No equities trades for me today. Has been a while since I got in one. The market is constantly down and I haven't traded many shorts yet. Does anyone have an ASIA chart they can post. Having trouble with this one.

If a market appears somewhat 'foggy' resulting in a trader's inability to clearly 'see' the signals provided, one need only drop down a fractal to obtain clarity. If on a daily fractal, try looking at an hourly. It appears as if the Intra-Bar Gaussian shifts cause you some difficulty. At a lower fractal, those same 'murky' areas now become clear as the light of day.

I've never been up multiple points and then down multiple points in the same trade as I have today :confused:

Why don't you post your chart marking the trades for us to have a look. :)

William J Oneil has a book how to make money selling stocks short. It could be a good read given the current market conditions.

For anyone still interested in the 'M' or 'W' Day puzzle, watch Volume during the day's opening three bars. If the market signals Volume 'drop off' at the Open, watch the 'M' or 'W' form throughout the day.

Spyder,

Does the falloff in volume have to be smooth - V1>V2>V3 [#1] or can it show V1 lower than V2 but V3 lower than V1 and V2 [#2]?

TIA

The answer you seek should reveal itself with time, patience and a little observation. As always, make sure you take context into account when reaching your conclusion.

If I didn't know better I would surmise (incorrectly) that you are being intentionally vague, which is both cool and constructive. The point being that last Friday's first 3 bars of the 5 minute EMH8 did show a monotonic falloff in volume, without chromoconsistency, but with no clear "M" or "W" formation (very poor penmanship aside).
