Iterative Refinement

Quote from Spydertrader:

it appears as if some might confuse, "What must come next?" with an expectation of what the next bar will do in terms of Open, High, Low, Close and Volume. When, in fact, WMCN refers to what the market must show the trader in terms of the sequences which unfold from Point One, to Point Two, to Point Three and beyond - into the channel / traverse.

This is a powerful statement:D

I updated the ES 5min Pace Lines as of the close on 8-15-08. Volume levels have been lower during the non-dominant up Traverse (on the daily chart) which began in mid-July, just as we would anticipate.

VDU: up to 8,271
DU: 8,272 - 13,197
Slow: 13,198 - 18,559
Medium: 18,560 - 26,292
Fast: 26,293 - 41,457
Extreme: 41,458 and above

P.S. I used a month's worth of 5min ES data and I filtered out all bars after 4:00 pm EST.

Thanks treeline, just caught this post from you.

Clarification question..

Doing some studying over the weekend, came across this statement in one of Jack's old posts.

"Between odds to evens you have hitches stalls, and dips, and between evens to odds you have patterns of pennants."

By odds and evens I assumed he was speaking of point numbers, ie: pt 1 to 2 move would be odd to even.

This would seem to say that flaws come in dominant moves, and pennants in non dominant. This obviously contradicts some stuff that we have discussed, so perhaps I am just reading this wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, I have noticed a pt5 coming up occasionally. It appears to fit somewhere between VE and FTT... Anyone know about this?
