Iterative Refinement

A few charts posted today are missing the first up channel. Notice how the context changes when it is in place (i.e. the VE that now have us looking for the FTT).

Many may recall the statement posted by Spydertrader about the three ways to go from point two to point three. One way is decreasing non-dom volume for the retrace. This first up channel is ANOTHER way. We have increasing red volume in the retrace to a point three. Perhaps a review of Spydertrader's statement would benefit: http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthrea...=three+AND+ways+AND+point+AND+one#post1840934

Thanks Avi8 and nice observation. I did have that channel on my morning chart, but removed it once I saw a tighter channel from which to operate within. I will leave those on in the future for reference and to avoid confusion.

Leaving those channels in place should be doing more than simply avoiding confusion. Perhaps, focusing on a channel to 'operate within' has caused you to miss something critical in the bigger picture. :)

Got short SNCR today expecting a BO of the up channel. Didn't happen today. looking for increased red tomorrow. Volume was pretty significant today so we'll see what happens.
