Iterative Refinement

tap tap is this on? first post

I just read about 1,000 pages of JH journal entries and I like seeing the progression and improvement in the system. the biggest improvement is spydertraders dumping of lagging indicators. like its a complete different system from the one JH started.

volume IS everything

after several thousand charts read minute by minute each candlestick each volume bar telling a story. first with stochastic macd training wheels then without . and then it all came together, as if I was blind until just now I could read charts all of them! with NO indicators (except volume) and I thought to myself I am going to be SOOO RICH!!

pick any chart (with volume) from a book magazine newspaper internet eyeball in the channels look for volume and spot the buy and sell signals.

better than porn.

I think the spydertrader system looks like open source information sharing, like linux. (the ET website server probably runs on linux) open source os's like linux work better because they are the shared efforts and improvements of thousands of private programmers, evolution, or in other words we are teaching spyder and JH how to trade.

that was the idea right jack? we all get richer by sharing?

Sort of got behind a bit, although we're working at our own pace like in Montessori school (miss those days). Here's the rest of Tuesday's ES along with WMCN drills 1.7 - 1.9.

The P/V relationship was easier to read today.

Quick question.

It's a flaw in a channel that you don't have drawn. A non-dominant movement on one level (tree) is also a dominant movement on a lower level (branch).

Quote from Avi 8:

Here is a bar by bar MADA for Friday.

It uses an ES chart only.

I'll second Padawan's HUGE thank you, Avi 8.

Thanks!

I have printed it out and am going through it.

Please tell me what "CO", "IF/1" and "IF/2" mean.

TIA.

ES M8 Daily Chart April / 8 / 2008

Tiki, it may not be important now, but your M8 chart doesn't have the 10/11 - 12/11 CO\ RTL. We did not quite retrace all the way back to it...

It is easier for me to chart the ES# in order to keep the longer term channels like this one. Though I apparently have to work on quality of these full-screen snapshots....

BTW, I take these in the morning - that's why the start of today is reflected in the last bar.

CO = carry over channel from the previous day

Use the search button to find out about IF/1 and IF/2, the subject has been covered many times in these journals. Happy reading :D

Yes, and you will also need to look for "IF1" and "IF 1" (with & without space) as the slash is not always used...

Computers can be so literal! :D
