Iterative Refinement

I would also like to extend my thanks to Spyder, MikeyTrader, and Ireland for their work which lead to a very successful meeting.

Of course, Spyder deserves special thanks for his tireless efforts on and off the Journal. This was the third meeting he has hosted that I have taken advantage of, and I plan to attend anything offered in the future.

I have much work to do to internalize and practice that which I now "know I need to know" to go to the next plateau.

Thanks again Spyder for pointing the way, and also thanks to all others that attended - it was a sincere pleasure.

The info and additional insights gained were great, but as he said, not the missing link, but a reiteration and clarification of what has been said many times in the journal.

Thanks to everyone who made the trip and shared their thoughts. Special thanks again to Avi8 for his assistance in clearing up misunderstandings. It was clear to me that everyone who attended and participated in the discussion have the ability to trade profitably at least some part of the day. Back to business. he attached was annotated post NYC so I had the benefit of seeing Spyder's chart. At the time I questioned the 14:30 to 14:40 where we had an accelerated "faster fractal traverse" (aka "a goat"). DKM suggested the reason this was not a accelerated Pt3 up traverse making the 14:55 IBGS on increasing volume a true traverse level SOC (disregarding it's other merits of change :) ) was because although we did have tape break on 14:30 and on Spyder's chart a down tape to :35; we didn't have actual decreasing red volume (either as retrace or traverse) that would create the conditions for a traverse to develop later. This seems so simple, elegant and obvious it is no wonder I completely missed it :D. However, before I skip down the road having accepted this as truth, I thought I would get a second (or more) takes on the issue.

Once again thanks to Spyder, Avi8 and everyone else. It was informative and great fun. Oh yes, another special shout out to Mikeytrader and Ireland. Awesome effort. Does that mean as the sole SJHM/IR representative in NV I have the honors in November :eek: ?

Hey guava. Do you think you could post the chart that you were discussing with dkm?

Sounds like you and the other cult members who have reported back to the thread had a great time, physically, intellectually and quite possibly spiritually as well. There are many of us who for whatever reasons, were unable to attend. Las Vegas sounds too good to miss though, so I'll be working hard to fill up my little plaster of Paris collie with the slot in his head with sufficient funds to permit my joining you all next time around.

BTW, if any of you are getting bailout money from the government, you are not allowed to spend it on anything having to do with Sin City - by presidential order no less.

A great big thank you to you Spydertrader, Mikey and Ireland for Sunday afternoon. I walked around at the Traders expo in the morning and saw all the new whiz bang stuff that the CW people were touting, and noticed alot of suits and ties (and a couple of short black skirts).
Then I showed up at the Gin Mill and was pleasantly suprised that everyone was casual (not a suit or tie in the bunch) and that everyone was there for one single thing. To hear Spyder walk through the day bar by bar. Personally the walk through pulled me to a new level. Thank you.
And, I learned the secret of the secret handshake. The secret is there is no secret handshake! Now I can trade in my "missed a critical component of monitoring" t-shirt in for one that says "accellerate-decellerate-accellerate"

I would urge everyone to attend in November.

Aside from looking like a 'naked' spike bar, the 14:55 IBGS bar could also be considered as part of a lateral movement beginning at 14:50 - a 'clothed' spike bar if you will.

I cannot comment on dkm's explanation for why the 14:55 bar was a P2 not a P3, but it is certainly a more elegant explanation than mine. On the other hand the 'redness' may be buried in the 14:40 OB.
