Iterative Refinement

Quote from TraderD72:

...Are you saying that based on this same sequence you would eliminate the possibilty of a new Pt3 down based on Bar 10?...
Was this the same sequence?

We had inc blk for a RTL BO - OK, now what must come next? Did we get it? What would we need to see to eliminate a new pt3 down?

Here is the confirmation screenshot, eliminating a new pt3 up:

Quote from Vista:

Being that the 14:00 ES (5min) bar on Wednesday was such on oddball, I was wondering if you could briefly go over how you handled that one. I know it was caused by back to back 100% probability Buy and Sell programs at around 14:00 & 14:01.

When trading Intra-Bar (meaning multiple trades within a single bar) one needs the input of 'finer tools' in order to accurately 'see' the signal changes provided by the market. Unless and until one has the ability to 'see' what must come next on every other bar which does not represent an 'oddball' situation, then one has no reason, to move down the rabbit hole.

However, should you, for curiosity or educational sake, wish to head down this path prior to the appropriate point in the development process, then similar circumstances existed in a discussion posted to the previous Journal.

I have often warned of the dangers of heading off in a wrong direction too soon, only to watch as people, ignoring the valid advice, hurt their devlopment by jumping into something before they had properly prepared themself to do so.

In other words, the information you seek already exists in previous posts. However, I do not recommend seeking the information at this time.

I'm afraid I don't know anyone like this :D :D

Litttle Mac, my chart trendlines are a little different and are not necessarily correct as I tend to use FTTs (hopefully they are correct) for establishing trendlines.
SFLY Slow Sto has been in longterm downtrend and I have been watching lately as the OBV has also gone south. My dark red channel shows downtrend for the last couple of months with a shortterm up channel banging against the dark red RTL.
My gaussians leave a lot to be desired and do not give me an inkling as to whether it will break the RTL or continue downwards although I am getting a R2R at the end.
Hope this is helpful.

I am posting five screenshots of the ES only, showing my first entry of the day and the subsequent reverse.
Great work! Thanks for sharing.

In AVI's case "IBGS" has multiple meanings -

"Intra-Bar Gaussian Shift"
or
"I Be Gettin' Somemoney!"

Nice work Avi!
