ITCH where to buy and how much it cost

Dear colleagues

I want to trade and I find in tech specifications of Nasdaq about the ITCH the problem is when I try to find as a “sellable” product I can’t find I don’t know if it’s by my stupidity trying to understand the page of NASDAQ or is because ITCH is only for “professionals”. Talks about what you can see with these feed but nobody talk about the feed I mean Sterling don’t have the feed as individual

The same in BATS or even worse I think

A lot of colleagues have more miles in trading for these reason it will be appreciate yours comments

For historical TotalView ITCH data, I think that getting it via FTP straight from Nasdaq is about $1200 per month, with a minimum commitment of one year. I don't think they will deal with you as an individual -- I think you'll need to use an entity (corporation, LLC, etc., which is actually very easy to set up if you need one).

automatedtrader.net supposedly sells historical full-book data from various exchanges for much less. I have no idea how good it is or whether they're supporting the newer formats, as the TotalView ITCH version they state appears to be out of date.

For the real-time TotalView ITCH feed from NASDAQ, it is quite a bit more -- I think somewhere between $7000/month and $9000/month is the minimum. It's not just a matter of paying the $5000/month fee for the data itself -- there ends up being other charges that I don't think are avoidable.

Some other vendors do sell real-time TotalView for somewhat less, although the data may be "truncated" in some way. Activ sells it, for example, price dependent on how many symbols you need at once; they also have a "top 10 of book" across several markets (ARCA, BATS, etc.).

NxCore says they're interested in possibly adding TotalView someday, although it doesn't seem to be a high priority for them. But if they did have it, they'd probably have the best price (and lowest bandwidth, thanks to their exceptionally high compression rates). If you're interested, then please ask them about it and maybe they'll expedite adding it ;).
