Italy & Spain bans short selling.

What? Obviously the Euro zone is only in trouble because of pesky speculating short sellers. There are no fundamental problems to solve, so let's just ban short selling. That'll fix the problem.

LEH blamed the shortsellers also.
That remove a key support to prices. Short covering. But that is even more fear mongering due to government loosing faith in the "free market". They just create their own doom with a big red sign that said "We're in big trouble guys, don't park your money here".
