It Never Fails...

Here's what I do:

47 minutes after I make the first trade I take the opposite position.

Gets "them" every time.

My profits suck though, but I never lose money.

Well, all I know is that it happened again on Friday.
I took a vertical call spread, and yep, positive news came out
about an hour or so later on the underlying, and it moved hard
against me...

Now if I'da had a diagonal....:(

And August was SO good, I was 7 for 7....:)

Damn it.

Arnie, just out of curiosity, when you took the position, was it a short call spread and the news hit after hours? If so, I think I know the underlying you were in on.

Well, it's an old nemesis of mine, one that I swore I wouldn't mess with during earnings season, but nooooo... :(
Those darn fat premiums...
Funny thing, the news wasn't earnings related, but an acquisition ...
is that enough of a hint for you(tube)? :p

By the way, nothing goes straight up, does it?
Sheesh, and they haven't announced their earnings yet...... !

You know, there's a Sicilian thing called "the evil eye".
I think someone put one on me....:(
