This should be called the weather cherry picking thread to dismiss the totality of what's happening. However, year after year the planet is getting warmer. What's happening in Vermont one weekend or Germany one month in April is insignificant in the grand scheme.
“……Weather cherry picking thread…..” that’s another great example of the hypocrisy of the AGW crowd. They cherry pick only the science that furthers their narrative. They refuse to acknowledge the Medieval Warm Period or the Little Ice age. They love to point to every weather event and say it’s your fault and twist it so it fits and the only answer is Totalitarian Socialism, while screaming out the platitudes of 45% increase here and .5 degree increase there. The glaciers that melted and formed the great lakes and the fjords are long gone, but they dismiss all science that fails to meet their agenda saying that was before the Industrial Revolution so it doesn’t count. Refusing to recognize that it’s impossible to make measured Globle temperature increase since 1800. But 500 year old tree rings and 2,000 year old ice cores that are cherry picked to prove their point are like commandments handed down from the IPCC directly from the burning bush.
Our, including your, understanding of those events has been broadened, sharpened and communicated by, among other scientists, climatologists themselves, so how they not be acknowledging them?

An estimated €2 billion-worth of production has been lost after an early warm spell that encouraged grape vines and fruit trees to blossom was followed by a cold snap that killed them off. That came after the industry lost €1 billion in exports last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
France has declared a national emergency after one-third wine production has been lost to rare spring frosts.
French Agriculture Minister Julien Denormandie hyperbolically described the crisis as "probably the greatest agricultural catastrophe of the beginning of the 21st century" this week, and the government declared an "agricultural emergency".
An early bout of warm weather encouraged vines and fruit trees to blossom early, only for a sudden cold snap to nip them in the bud. The Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône and Loire Valleys and Provence have all been affected.
The damage has been estimated at €2 billion (£1.7 billion) in projected lost sales this year — on top of €1 billion in exports lost last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
With the industry estimated to be worth around €14 billion annually — and employing some 600,000 people, the economic damage could be significant.
