His yearly charts would not be granular enough to see anything since 2016 would be a yearly high point.


we are talking about a rapid cooling over the last 2 years since the end of the el nino in 2016.

so you would think you would want to post a monthly data chart to take a look at what is happening.

And I created gistemp using their data to make sure the charts are similar and they are. We have been cooling quickly since the el nino.

How many times do I have to tell you that satellite based lower atmosphere temp reading are not surface temps and are not as accurate as the thousands of land based actual thermometers.

Get back to us with a two year surface temp chart of the world. Not that two years means anything.

He said that it is ominous that the Earth has not cooled more than it has and that this implies when we into the next solar maximum, we will see a major ramp up in temperatures.

Let's call the next solar maximum the BBQ event. I'll bring chips and drinks. Any thoughts on what would be an appropiate main course?

Yes, in the past solar input variations, whether from the variation of solar output or from orbital changes (Malankovitch Cycles) caused the temp changes. Today, the large increase in GHGs is much much larger in effect than those causes.
