The IB bashing is getting tiresome. IB is far from perfect but they are by far the best out there. Just take a second to sit back and realize how many orders are processed daily, it's amazing really.
 
I use IB to "invest" in stocks and I find them excellent for that.

For daytrading FX (my core activity), I would never use IB, but rather very established banks like Deutsche and Saxobank...

I actually use deutsche's autobahn... and not dbFX, but what you tell me is nonetheless surprising, I would have thought dbFX would source from autobahn?
