Skilled professionals making good livings exist in every field including finance.
of course, no one said they did not. my contention is these professionals who last have "informational advantage". some who do not posess this advantage will have uncanny streaks of good luck, but will be in for a big surprise when tested with real size or their short term edge ceases to exist, if they don't quit or find "information advantage" first.
To decide that none exist because some of you folks are having difficulty is just silly.
my statement is based on knowing several individuals who have hired dozens of traders between them with supposed edges and discovering next to nothing when these edges are tested. its not a personal statement
As I said before I am sorry that you (Ripley, Marketsurfer, etc) find the work so difficult. I suggest that you obtain good professional training. If you are unable to do so, if you cannot make a stable living in this industry, perhaps it is time to consider another profession. You can after all still participate in the markets as investors and perhaps with less pressure to perform you can make a better life for yourselves.
i have a very good life, thank you.
best,
surf
Good luck
