Page 842 specifically talks about Israeli attack on Lebanon in 1968 and in 1982. It quotes Ben-Gurion once saying: "The weak point in the Arab coalition is Lebanon.[...] When we smash the [Arab] Legion's strenght and bomb Amman, we will eliminate Transjordan, too, and then Syria will fall. If Egypt still dares to fight on, we shall bomb Port Said, Alexandria, and Cairo."

Sounds familiar to today?

Exactly what influence does Israel have in the Middle East? In case you haven't noticed, every one in the Middle East hates Israel and is trying to drive them in to the sea! (According to your theory)

Doesn't sound like they have much influence at all.

Influence by the way, is something that is earned through RESPECT, not forced upon with a gun. If it were, then again, what use is Israel as the USA has enough fire power of its own - not that it has done much for Americas objectives as we have already seen.

Each time Israel gets criticized for a single action they answer with a long list of grievances. That leads to nowhere. Grow up please.

Like manipulative girlfriends, when they want something, they remind you when you forgot your anniversary, when you arrived late to dinner blah blah elephant memory for all occasions when you were a "bad boyfriend" so now you have to make up for all those mistakes.

And for the millionth time, my point is not that I prefer arabs, but that the US should not give preference to Israel or anyone else. The US should give preference to what's best for US citizens. Period.
