Yes I am. I think a high cost (not necessarily monetary) often deters people from doing stupid things, not always but often.

Ps: and maybe the opposite holds true in your case: if you started to make more right choices in your career you should easily end up in the top tax bracket. It's not that hard to get there. Sorry , I could not resist to play that irony in your comment.

I think we all forget that the government is supposed to be an extension of ourselves.
I'd support a tax or regulation on bad choices, to prevent stupid people from making worse choices, and getting into situations that begin to impact MY quality of life.

For example, heroin is regulated because once a big enough group of people start using it, they start becoming a problem for the rest of us.

A more controversial example: social safety net. Keeping people barely off the streets may be more cost effective and better for our quality of life, as opposed to spending money managing crime and lawlessness from people who are now on the streets.

I stand corrected, US residents can trade 4 futures options (out of hundreds) :

The above are approved products by CFTC for US residents, I am still trying to directly find CFTC sources, so bear with me.

I think Israel will at least very soon ban all those shady brokers from operating out of Israel. That is something that can be done quite easily given the will is there.

This has always been the argument for subsidizing bad behavior and using coercion to force people into behaving "correctly".. through regulation a ton of people are using heroin. Opiates are prescribed by doctors and the pain clinic epidemic was within the regulatory system for a really long time... If you think government can control addiction by banning substances and prohibition you wrong... I don't think you realize what you are saying.. the war on drugs is finally being realized as doing more harm then good...

What do you know about my career...and what's that have to do with the argument.. say I'm your sprinkler repair guy digging holes all day.. does that make my arguments less valid.? Taxing alcohol and tobacco has never deterred anyone. It's just an easier way to pass more taaxes through the guise of deterring bad behavior..

What is binary options?

Binary options just have a digital payout structure.. meaning you either win or lose. When you buy a binary knockout option say.. you have a strike that if the underlying touches you get a set payout... What that payout is determined by how far the strike is from where the underlying is trading currently... There many many types of binary options... It's sold as a simpler to understand option. Typically the bid and ask spread can be very wide and this makes it very difficult to earn.. I wouldn't recommend trading them if you aren't already well versed in trading vanilla options
