Gretchen Whitmer tweeted, "I have been in touch with communities impacted by what’s happening in the region. It is abhorrent. My heart is with all those impacted. We need peace in this region."
This ham-fisted attempt to avoid saying Israel, Hamas and terrorism in a statement addressing those three topics reminded me of Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s decontextualized 2019 remarks describing the 9/11 attacks as "some people did something."

The jewish and non-Jewish donors to these colleges and universities need to become more highly organized and run a more vigorous campaign to immediately link defunding to stupid anti-American actions. And, to blacklist hiring from any of these colleges. Yes, it will hurt some innocent students. Not my problem. Make a declaration of conscience and transfer to another school or shut your pie hole and pay your student loans.

As you know, but the average American/person on earth probably does not know is that the word "Palestine" is an undefined term with undefined boundaries with an undefined leadership. The PLO representing the West Bank Palestinians is at odds/in total conflict/ total rejection of Iranian led Hamas which lords over Gaza Palestinians.
The west banker/plo Palestinians will probably benefit from this conflict if they play their cards right and do not degenerate into anything violent. The Americans and the Israelis are ultra-interested in giving them reasons to hold the line. The west banker/plo types are also highly interested in seeing Hamas moved out.
