The cops intercepted the terrorists and ended up with their car facing the getaway car and blocking its path.
The two gunmen jumped out and one put a rather astonishingly tight pattern of shots into the windshield of the police car.
The officer driving was struck but managed to reverse the vehicle back substantially allowing his partner to exit the vehicle. That officer was struck in the hip as he ran towards the gunmen and he fell on the sidewalk. The gunmen ran up to him, one covering the other and asked "do you want to kill us?" and the officer replied "no, thats OK mate" and was shot in the head. He was a muslim.

Pure idiocy. But I don't know why I would expect anything different from you.
The people who have armed themselves on these forums have done so not because they are expecting a terrorist attack on their home, or the government to come invade their property.
We arm ourselves to protect against home invasions by thugs, or carry a concealed weapon in case we're in a store when someone goes ballistic, or someone tries to mug us at the gas station, etc. And, of course, we keep weapons because we enjoy them and enjoy firing them. It's our hobby.
You're confusing the reason we keep our arms with the "why" we defend the 2nd amendment. We defend our right to bear arms because an armed populace keeps the government in check - or so the founders believed. We own our firearms, however, because of the aforementioned practical reasons.
I don't expect a liberal panty waste to understand any of this, but I figured I'd point it out nonetheless.
