I know, but there are some differences. One, nobody seems to have a problem maligning all other religions. Why does Islam get a pass? Cause they don't like it? Fuck'em! Two, most other religions have evolved beyond the 7th century. They aren't chopping of heads and cutting out clits over at the Vatican. The door knockers may tell me I'm going to hell if I don't find Jesus. The Islamists will kill you. Religion can be a pain in the ass while the Islamic cultists are out for blood. How we respond should be obvious.

Not disputing any of that. Just that if you're going to call Islam a religion of thugs (actually, you said it wasn't a religion) because of it's history in the 7th century then you should really consider Christianity's transgressions during it's first 1000 years.
Which is why the push toward arming everybody is a lot of nonsense.
Many religions have a long difficult history that involve violence. Many times it is because the followers perverted the religion to gain power or persecute others.
The question today is which religions have evolved to 21st century standards and which are still stuck in the 10th century.
Yes, because one officer (assuming he was armed, some police in France are not armed) failed to protect himself automatically means the same would happen to another armed and trained officer. Shall we post articles that show how armed officers - undercover or otherwise - have stopped rapes, theft and murders?

Islam was comprised of thugs in the 7th century and they are still thugs today is what I'm trying to convey. Christians have evolved, however slowly, they have evolved. It's 2015, not 615. An organization, religious, cult or otherwise that is still practicing the same methodology of the 7th century should be long dead and gone, especially considering how violent and dangerous a threat Islam is. We need to be facilitating that end doing whatever it takes to rid ourselves of the Islamic plague. There is no clean way out of this. No easy way. No peaceful way. The Islamic horde has a say in all of this and they have made it abundantly clear how they want it to go. I say we accommodate them.
