I don't think insulting people or their religion is justified. If there wasn't any insults, we wouldn't be here today. The problem is really quite easy to solve.

Admirable trait. Very libertarian, and I agree with you, except it really doesn't solve the problem regarding many of a certain faith who have essentially said to convert to their faith or die . That has nothing to do with insults, I'm afraid.

Regarding your stand: Perhaps you should start a letter writing campaign to Hollywood. I don't know if you've noticed over the last decade or two, but it's almost impossible to watch a single show that doesn't insult Christianity any more. It has become quite fashionable to bash Christians and all things related to Christianity. Just read many of the leftists post in ET. Same thing.

People of the world are better off not insult other people's religion. You will never know how upset they get.

Well, if you don't like what holllywood produce, then don't watch them. I don't and I have no problems with them.

I haven't come across a single person who tells me I have to convert or die. Until I face this problem, I don't see an issue. If the Afghans say everyone in their country must be a certain religion, that's their right to do what is best for their country. I don't see that as anyone's business. If you don't like their approach, no one is forcing you to go to their country.

The thread started with the belief that it was ok to draw insulting pictures about a religion because that's freedom of expression. If that is acceptable then insulting any other religion should be treated no differently.

Christianity is predominantly white. Buddhism is predominantly asian, etc, etc. No cards to be seen.

If we all agree bashing anyone is not acceptable then I will condemn those who are bashing. But we have not reached this agreement. The thread was started with the idea that bashing muslims was justified, while the resulting retaliation was not.
