The development history of modern Christianity could be a useful reference for them.
Being serious in their Muslim religion can be a good thing. They will become much more open minded later, after spending time in serious studies of religions. Especially in a western academia environment.
Nowadays, some theological colleges previously of Christian background are having Muslim studies.

What freakin' difference does it make? I really could care less if they have legitimate grievances or not. Are we supposed to overlook their barbaric terrorism?
In point of fact, they are acting just as we would expect good muslims to act. They are following their leader's instructions to the letter. We are in a war against a sizeable portion of islam. The fact that we don't want to admit it doesn't change anything.

But yes, I agree, there needs to be much more gun control and banning of hand guns and assault rifles. Too many innocent women and children are being killed.
