I guess it's definitely confirmed now. I can't help but think there's more to this than we know atm. It just wasn't an isis-like recording, no actual flag, no armed goons standing behind him, no allahu ackbar chanting.. and there are some seemingly obvious inconsistencies with the actual beheading.
One idea I read which seems plausible was; in return for him making that America bashing speech, they killed him more mercifully and then beheaded him.

You nailed it! We're watching (watching is the key word), something that IMO will rival Hitler, Japan, and Mussolini as Otraitor won't reach out to our allies to form up a coalition that would crush these terrorists so wickedly, they'd curse their Mother's birthing them.
I also saw the video of journalist Foley's head being sawed off for being non Muslim. I'll have to say, I am actually quite happy over every SAND NIGGER I killed in Iraq, as well as the countless my Men turned into spaghetti! In fact, wish myself and around 400,000-600,000 boots (NO, not Bush's measly 80,000-100,000 bullshit number!) were on the ground in that shit hole. All we need is about 2-3 months max after launching all Hell on these roaches. Literally, that's more than enough time. And no, this time, we wouldn't allow any cameras/press around while we did WHAT NEEDS BE DONE! It's IMPOSSIBLE to fight a war with cameras around. Every Combat Marine since Vietnam KNOWS this!
And since (if my way), 400,000-600,000 would be taking zero prisoners, as well as other very, VERY effective "tactics," we'd be out of there as stated, 2-3 months max. Marlon Brando's character summed it up so surprisingly CORRECT in "Apocalypse Now" as to how he'd win that war. Yes, had we literally had "ten divisions of Men willing to do that," Yes, we would have been out of Vietnam in a NY minute...Iraq is no different.

No concern about collateral damage. We launch not a lame ass "shock and awe", but a holy fucking shit attack that sets even the most seasoned warrior back on their heels. Thousands of the enemy are killed on a daily basis, maybe tens of thousands. Who is the enemy you ask? Until they unconditonally surrender, all of them. Unless we're prepared to do that, we lose. Might as well pick up the koran and surrender today.
