Is your QChart data unusually slow today?

this is what we have to deal with everyday, with luck you can ride the red line or yellow line instead.

Agree and disagree. You are right that it is very foolish to try to save money on a trading tool. One trade that goes sour because of a problem pays for a year of a better feed. But I'm not sure I agree that other feeds are so much better. TradeStsation has plenty of problems, as does RT. I'm not impressed by the limitations of esig. Any internet feed will have issues. I used a sat feed and guess what, they have problems too, only they tend to be the kind that shut you down for a while.

I use QCharts for charting futures and indexes and to watch the hotlists. For that I think it is pretty good. I don't think I would want to trade off it by itself, but if you can compare prices to a broker feed like IB or Hammer, I think it is as good as any.

Hmm. Interesting. I'm willing to try out a new provider. Let me ask the following questions:

1) Is there like 14day or 30day free trial period for Qcharts?

2) Can you link multiple windows with multiple time frame together? Like if you see something in the hot list or sector list you like can you click it and it will bring up the 5min, 15min, daily charts, and t&s, and level 2 all at once?

3) Does it support the dow Eminis futures?

4) how fast and reliable is it during fast market? After reading all these posts, it seems like it's not so reliable. But I"m not an ultra short term scalper. Do you think it's good enough for that? Maybe 1min to 10-20min holding time frame?

5) how many charts can you pull up at once? you said 64? haha.

6) do they have lke a real-time filter or scanner with it?

thanks! I have TS7 now and it's ok. But I wouldn't mind having a backup in case or whatever.

thanks!
