Is Your Brain Shrinking? Yes, and Here’s Why

I sometime go to senior homes and teach people to play chess. It saddens me sometimes to see people who don't recognize me from one visit to the next. On the positive side, there are people that completely light up when I show them something interesting. They love hearing stories about Fischer or other chess geniuses. Some of these people had they gotten the chance to build their skills when they were younger would be fierce competitors.

You don't need an iPad. Just get a $5 chess set out and compete. Or play Bridge competitively. Nothing beats either of those to keep a mind young. For the elderly that can't drive, play chess or bridge online on your iPad.
