If you're arguing on subjectivity, then this is a valid argument with the only remaining annoying aspect being 50-60 million people thinking different than you about an individual not classifying their views as "extreme" since there is no baseline to put them up against.

And before you try to argue that millions of Germans followed Hitler, they did so out of fear in many cases - not just nationalism (though that was a large part). But we've already agreed we aren't comparing Trump to Hitler because its so far out in left field as to be laughable.

Coincidentally, a lot of Republicans in office are afraid to disagree with Trump for fear of losing their seats. And so they go along to get along.
