Is Trump in danger of being assassinated?

Agents Rush Stage to Protect Donald Trump at Dayton Rally

"(Bloomberg) -- Security guards rushed the stage to protect Donald Trump at a rally in Dayton, Ohio, on Saturday, less than a day after thousands of protesters forced him to postpone a rally in Chicago.

Trump appeared to be have been alerted by a member of the crowd that someone was behind him, and he immediately jerked his head around as four agents surrounded him to provide a protective shield.

"A man attempted to breach the secure buffer and was removed rapidly and professionally," Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in an e-mailed response, directing further inquiries to the Secret Service.

Trump continued with his speech after the incident as the crowd chanted "USA, USA." He gave them thumbs up.

"Thank you for the warning," Trump told a member of the audience in the front row. "I was ready for 'em, but it's much easier if the cops do it, don't we agree? What a great job. What a great job. And to think I've had such an easy life. What do I need this for? What do I need this for? I've done great. I love this country. We're going to make this country great again. It's payback time. These guys are so fantastic.".."

We're going to need the police state drumpf wants, to install him in the first place.

This is the guy they need at the Trump rallies

Yes and no. US citizens can be violent, criminals, murderers etc. Hence police.

I changed my mind. Based on the media and establishment frenzy over Trump, I'd say the odds of Trump being assassinated are much higher then 50-50. :(((

"An Egyptian student in California has agreed to return to Cairo after he wrote a threatening comment on Facebook about Donald J. Trump that drew the attention of the Secret Service and led to the cancellation of his student visa, according to law enforcement officials and his lawyer.

Emadeldin Elsayed, 23, posted an article on Facebook last month about Mr. Trump’s proposal to bar Muslims from entering the United States. “I literally don’t mind taking a lifetime sentence in jail for killing this guy, I would actually be doing the whole world a favor,” he wrote, according to his lawyer, Hani Bushra.

Nah, why bother? It will be more interesting to watch The Donald self-immolate as the general election approaches. Only a subset of the Republican base -- the crazy side of that peculiar family -- supports the guy. That won't be enough to get him beyond the nomination. And don't you think the other side has gathered all the evidence it needs to bury Trump insofar as the remainder of the electorate is concerned?

Admittedly, The Trump Show seems scary at times, but I think we all know how the series finale will end. So just sit back and enjoy the show.

You hope it works out that way. Lots of folks I know don't support Trump, but given the choice between him and Hillary, they'll vote for him. Including myself.

Well, I take comfort in the fact that you're not exactly mainstream. But if you want to get in the mud and join forces with "that" side of the Republican family, that is entirely up to you.

You can hope that all you want, but I'm far more mainstream that you think. In fact, so much so that you shouldn't be so easily dismissive of Trump's real chances.

The good thing is that if Trump wins, you don't have to move to Canada because you're already there. The bad thing (for you) is you don't have a say in how our politics play out.
