Is trading only a hobby or job for the rich?

I like the idea of trading but im short on money for many reasons , i try to learn as much as possible from free resources , i have very good understanding of variance and money management because i play poker too but im not totally sure about trading strategies , i just guess that any strategy with a very small capital would have like 100% risk of ruin unless i get insanely lucky , am i wrong? unlike poker is it like impossible to climb out from worthless to decent capital? if you think its not impossible can you recommend a way to do this climb?

Ps. i also dont think im a good candidate for loans or stuff like this.

Is trading only a hobby or job for the rich?

Perhaps the best game for pastime and entertainment!

Plus sometimes unexpected excitements! lol

If you're serious . . . Developing a Plan (the process is the same, regardless of the path one takes, and they all require a lot of testing).

It is absolutely possible. Sit down in a quiet room and think about your self being a successful trader for a few minutes. Think about what it will feel like to make profitable seven figure trades, and then think about the things in life you would buy and enjoy as a result of your success. Let your imagination run wild and think about what it would be like no longer being poor and the intense happiness you will feel by having the money and freedom to structure your life however you want. When you've really worked yourself up to the point that you're about to cry from happiness...... NEVER FORGET THAT FEELING...... and do every single thing you can possibly do from that day forward to make that feeling a reality.

Make that feeling your life's work.

One thing I can promise you is this: If you go into trading thinking that it's just going to be a hobby, or simply some sort of learning experience.... then that's exactly what you're going to end up with. If you go into trading with a clear vision of big success and a burning desire to put everything you have into making that vision a reality on a daily basis, then over time you will eventually accomplish what you set out to achieve. And it makes no difference whatsoever what your capital is or what your starting point is.

The only thing that matters is that you have a fire burning in you to achieve greatness and that fire lights you up every single to day to get off your ass and do all the things that most people won't.

No fire = No success. That is a universal law of life.

So many people in life don't get what they want because they never define WHAT IT IS they deeply want for themselves in the first place. Their fire isn't even a smoldering ember. It's more like ice. So they plod along every day going to some stupid job doing all the shit that they really don't want to be doing, and generally living a lackluster life that ends up passing them by before they know it.

So please, do yourself a huge favor, and do what I said above, but only if being a hugely successful trader is really what you desire most. If it's not, then take a minute to dream up what it is YOU REALLY WANT for your life more than anything, and then put everything you have, every single day, into THAT.

Nice post. Yes, get what you want out of life. Good place to focus.

Remember: the better your starting edge, the less starting capital you need. Work on getting a great edge as much as getting capital.

Forex is okay open a demo account, practice atleast placing trades and SLs for a bit, then put $50 in trade smallest lot size possible, till your making profits.

Then scale up account slowly.

is it possible to hack your way into the world of trading without being properly capitalized and generally poor?
