Is Trading Gambling or not

electricsavant - i do not question or doubt there are many profitable systems out there..the best we can do is encourage people to believe the good news they do exist (example the legendary market winners we all read about) and the bad news is..that each of us should be dedicated enough to do the homework themselves to arrive at it in this game....

heck..the solution is simple.....

find an edge that can beat majority the traders out there playing the same game..you are already way way ahead..the market is not the enemy....you just have to play the game better than the rest ...with better research,better discipline and better understanding
 
Folks if you believe flow>capacity then lets exploit it in the journal.

P.S. I am battling whether I should start it on Tuesday, as I have an engagement to observe live trading from a method that was presented at the Denver's Trading Group 5 speaker mega event yesterday. I always like to see real stuff vs. hypothetical. I would need to take Monday off and that would also effect my real trading in these two examples as I could not replace trades in System #1. I have not decided yet. I wish I could get someone to trade it for me.
 
Some people can consistently make money trading and some cannot. Whichever camp you fall into, it is still gambling. Gambling in my opinion is a great profession. If you are losing money trading, then you are not a very good gambler. If you make money trading, then you are a good gambler. That's it. Simple as that.

If you believe a promise, is that gambling? Do you have faith in mankind...

The nature of trading can be exploited to measure the "gambling meter in relation to yield"...only if you believe flow>capacity...

electricsavant - yes...so simple am paranoid aboutit..that if what i learnt becomes public it might fail to work anymore or deteriorate in performance.....now i beginng to understand why the wizards never truly disclose what they really do....this idiot is clinging hard to his small potted plant... :)

I have nothing to fear. If I could help someone with this...then that is NOT gambling indeed. If not, the flow mentality will eventually be exploited before or after I die.

You seem to think, "its what you know" and "what others do not know"...This is too much ego for me...
