Is "not gambling" insider trading?

Insider trading is not gambling. It's one of the true edges... and also illegal in US markets.

If it is 50:50 would you consider trading "not gambling"

Is roulette 'not gambling" ? Assuming no table limits and deep pockets does a skilled betting system make roulette "not gambling"?....

P.S. Nice Dog Don :) ☺

Nope. Roulette is ALWAYS gambling... unless you can pick up an edge on the wheel.

Odds of a winning number on any one spin (regardless of results of prior spins) = 38:1. Payout if you win, 35:1. House always has the edge.

A Golden on a stuffed chair.... seen that before. I've got a Husky that has claimed a $3,000 massage chair as his own...

As he should, LOL.

It's always gambling due to the vig and the fact others will always have better faster data etc

This does not mean you can't win ofcourse in the short term. But you will always Lose in the long term unless you adapt constantly.

It's interesting most say it's not gambling. No wonder the market In frastructure is so rich. Plenty of sheep who think they have an edge.

Nice thread electric and welcome back!

Wonder which group is consistently profitable. Can we run a parallel poll !!

I don't understand why you say looking only one way on the street gives you a 50-50 proposition of getting hit.

Of course, I live on a one way street.
