I had to look at the charts. There has been some movement and I had to replace some trades that executed giving some profit from the movement, so excuse for this small lag.

Did I just gamble, Folks?

Kelly, yes the WHY someone trades is important. But by example I am attempting to prove it...

If you wish for the rest of the week, I can post the results of the daily trades, to help demonstrate that trading does not need to be gambling. But you must understand, if I continue to do that, we risk this poll being moved to the Journals forum. I feel this is far too important of a trading thread to be moved to Journals.

Therefore....

If you folks are interested, again, I can start a Journal next week.

But the Journal is tightly controlled with moderation and could only be about the two posted systems.

I must apologize to you for my anger displayed last week towards you.

Many of you folks did not know anything about this.

Magna runs a tight ship over the two forums he moderates. Moderation is a tough job and is not appreciated and I would say it is a thankless job.

This post is for those that saw that deleted thread, for which I was out of line in.

I do not intend to be the poster trying to undermine ET, but to be a peacemaker and to be able to discuss trading in a mature way, by following the rules of this wonderful forum that I am a guest of.

My intentions could be misunderstood and have been in the past. This is for the moderators to judge.

I may post my website again to give you folks access to the updated rankings of interest paid, but I will remove any banners from my site. (except ET's, which I proudly display)

I feel I have a lot to share, and my motives are just that. To share, grow...and make friends in the Trading world...(sounds honorable, doesn't it?, give me a chance to prove it). Perhaps I have nothing to share and it's my illusion...well there is where you folks are the Judges. Find your way.

Now I must tell you something,

I am going to gamble...What!

I must go to the locksmith. (I broke my fricken key inside of my 1990 Plymouth Voyager Van side door lock)

By leaving my station...I am taking the gamble of not being there to replace the exectuted trades that reached their target. (one just hit as we spoke, that will get me some time...gotta go)

Yes, When trading is approached from a not gambling stance, by not trading is a gamble...

so by "not gambling" are you still a slave?

Back...no harm ...no foul

Have you ever seen a locksmith dig out a broken key? They have some kewl tools...

When he pulled it out it came slinging out like a glob of snot being blown out of your nose!

Folks.....check your keys and see if they are getting weak...or your running the "gamble" that you will need to pay $20.00 to get it fixed!

Anyways.....

The point of all this has a hidden meaning. If I stepped away from the computer and didn't replace a trade I can get it on the way back up or down with a second chance...One is a limit order and one is a stop order. Oanda does not differentiate between them however. At Oanda the price must trade at the entered price and there is no price improvement. They have this neat little Java Platform that draws little triangles and green horizontal lines for targets automatically. You should see my charts...all these lines and triangles, make me look like I know what I'm doing when someones looks over my shoulder...:)

P.S. I glanced at System #1 balance, it up $30.00 bucks so far...Unrealized at -492.82..... Realized at around $300.00 so far...after around two weeks...(trade size and entry increments can be adjusted for clever traders to dial in their time held)

I wish Oanda had checking account privileges, I could of paid the locksmith with todays take...(the point of this is not to brag, but to drive home the reality that each day brings. Just go with the flow and extract it in dollars to live your lives with traders). Take what the market gives.... ALL OF IT.
 
interestingly the only voters now are the gamblers...(observing this, is trading in itself)

When your NOT gambling and your making some scratch...if you start making more and more on an accelerated basis...what does a non gambler do?

I will tell you...

Beginning next week in the Journal, I will reduce the trade ticket percent...to insure that we are "not gambling" even less...You know what fast profits mean don't ya...it means the "gambling meter" is set too high.

Please Vote in the poll here, and start your gambling meter from zero....
