is trading a horror? losing more than winning? do this!

if somebody has bought but not bought enough to move the market, that entity will buy more when it has a chance. if you buy after many such entities, they will protect their entry point. so you will have protection of the entire market WHICH YOU NEED

Yeah, but you should think one step further. Those entities are not interested in protecting weasels like you (or me). So what do they do? That's right, they violently shake the market up to get rid of you and usually at the worst possible places. Plus, if you've been at this for a while, you would also know that more money can be made from these violent shakeouts than from clean trends.

they are interested in protecting bastards like themselves.

but what i have written is basic stuff...it is the beginning for a novice. not the end

you are right shakeouts are very real but it does not happen as often as people think.

because to push markets down there is a cost and risk for them: so if market conditions allow they will do it.
but do not forget there are a lot of biggies out there and each are trying to screw the others....so when one sells planning a shakeout another may absorb all that is offered ...

this is real in huge liquid index futures like ES so that is one reason novices should stick to index futures,if they are leveraged at all./

Al Brooks says the best R/R Entries are on the first Pullback, when the new Trend is barely recognizable.
RR is not the only thing..... win rate is important too and i dare say the win rate, when RISK REWARD is high, is very low.... Brooks says that in many places, i think ,if i understood correctly, which is difficult where Brooks is concerned

one of the things i have really learned from Brooks and he says:NEVER EVER trade countertrend before there is considerable countertrend strength.

and even when that is there wait till there is test of low /high and you get a good reversal set up. you need both counter trend strength and a set up and here it is lot safer to wait for a second entry.

even when you look to enter the trend when the PB ends this applies

Brian Shannon says don't buy the Dip, buy strength after the Dip.

Brian Shannon says don't buy the Dip, buy strength after the Dip
that is basically a second signal.

what Brooks says is: buy the dip after the strength when there is good reversal setup.
he stresses you need both : good reversal pattern and strong countertrend strength.... to go counter trend

the set up is essentially so that you know where to place the stop.

Brooks is the best because it gives a early entry with a tight stop and so big RR.

you must understand that all educators say essentially the same thing: so you have all the trained traders, entering at the same time and that leads to fast moves and so everyone is happy
