Is Tim Sykes really a scammer?

surf, i'm willing to bet "friends" is not the proper word to describe what you and tim share...and i am not picking on your per se...more in that how you describe all the name dropping nonsense you do...these are guys (con's) who seek your publicity..thats all.

otherwise they would not give you the time of day... but clearly as you have mentioned..you have gained much from et and that i cannot dispute if some of the stuff you say is actually true.
 
I posted this back in february on surf's thread....seems like he's still doing it....it's a telltale sign of some major insecurity going on...

I guess you can never know someone's true motivations---- who else do you believe that I have mentioned is a friend is a con?

Sure, why else would I post here? The contacts and such from this site have been very beneficial in multiple ways. surf

I don't know nor have even ever met any of those people you list--- if I "drop" names its within the context of the conversation and designed to enlighten the reader as to what these folks are really like and my opinion of them----- you can just keep on reading their books and listening to ET chatter to form your opinion. surf

Why are you so obsessed with this guy? If you really cared you would ask him directly for statements or whatever--- Do you really not believe that some brokers may actually have shares to short in his picks? I don't get it.

Since unlike Surf, I like investigative journalism and logic, I googled "Tim Sykes technical analyses". Oh, the porn I have found, you should see it!!!

Anyhow, a stumbled upon his profit.ly reports, so let's check it out with his call posted it here:

Sykes says GNIN will crash Monday. He is short 26k plus shares. Any challengers?

Who am I to challenge anyone? After all I dropped out from school at 3rd grade for bad math, and I worked for Arthur Anderson as an accountant. I am not challenging anyone, but I like to look at numbers. They are sexy!!!

So it looks like GNIN nicely dropped from 1.58 Friday closing price to just under 1.2 on Monday (that is almost 25%) before bouncing back to 1.4. Nice drop, nice call, nice profit, if he stayed in for the drop.

But did he??? Well, this is where things get confusing. On this site, he says he was short 53K shares from 1.78 to 1.63, he shorted on the 13th:

Well, nice to know, but on this site they report a profit of 7534$ for the same short, exiting on the 18th:

And here ladies, we have a few problems:

1. It says he was short 53K not what Surf said 26K. I guess 53 technically is 26+...
2. On Monday where the exit supposedly happened, price was nowhere near 1.63, the supposedly exit price. The open was 1.54, highest 1.55.

See, I told you your brain is going to hurt, I warned you. Now it is possible that he shorted it twice, but :

1. Why would you give an exit price that is way higher than any price on that day?
2. Since he was right with his call, he should be telling us:"see, I told you so, and I made 10-20%"

Anyhow, maybe once Surf finishes Journalism school he could ask his friend about these discrepancies. I am sure there is a simple explanation...

Until that, I am getting a drink, nevermind the interruption and ladies, please, carry on...

Duh, Pekelo, you really are naive. Sykes cuts and adds to positions-- all in he made $7500+ yesterday shorting GNIN--- there is a trick to finding shares to short on IB-- maybe if you are really nice to TS, he will tell you. Nah, you can forget ever knowing without paying$$. LOL
