Is Tim Sykes really a scammer?

Simply, maybe that's why you don't see an author use his/her "known author alias" to attack openly another author. Common sense should tell anyone it wouldn't be a smart thing to do. Therefore, there's no secret society amongst book authors...its a cut throat business regardless if you're talking about folks that write books or about folks that writes about politics, gardening, traveling, the pope or anything else especially with today's social media allowing for "anonymity" that wasn't available 20 years ago.

why are you guys still talking about Covestor? Tim is on Profit.ly and all his trades are verified through the broker. Its easy to see which are verified and which are fake or not verified. Tim is legit...up to a certain extent. All his calls are real and he does really trade them. Only thing I dont like except for his big mouth is that there is a delay between his actual trade and when he alerts his chat room. I was in there free for 2 weeks for the trial and have been in there before. Its all legit believe me. He does have some recent calls when he actually recorded live

to be fair, Sykes is only SOMEWHAT of a snake oil salesman. His trades are real though.

This is what I take issue with, not that I sold and gave away Tshirts and hats back in 2001 and defend my friends or created aliases when I was banned on elite trader.

I don't hate your guts. I don't even know you.

I equate lying with making fake aliases which is what you did. Pretending to be someone else is a lie, that's why I said that.

And as far as the scammer comment, I will rescind that with an apology. I said that because you always come to the rescue of blatant snake oilers like Sykes. You've been around wall st long enough to know that what Sykes does is a complete and utter scam that is genius in its methodology in that it works on paper but can't be replicated by anyone following it because THE SHARES ARE FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE TO BORROW!!!!! You know it, I know it, anyone who has been trading for more than 6 months knows it. Sykes preys on the stupid and when you come to the defense of a known scammer it reflects poorly on you to say the least.

If he made millions from his persona, then I am not as nearly impressed as I would be had he made his millions trading.

I did well with my businesses and I did not have to use any special persona for that. If your product cannot speak for itself and you need to use a "persona" to sell it, you are a BS artist in my opinion.

Yes, there are MANY authors I can't stand, i don't talk about them. Even negative responses act as marketing, so keeping quiet is the best medicine against the ones I don't care for. surf

It was mostly tongue and cheek, although I have never seen you criticize anyone you interviewed. Sykes and Covel are the ones I take exception with. Both of them would make great carnival barkers.

he knows time is well spent selling to sheep than trading. he knows this is free money from sheep. he knows sheep and their money need to be separated, and then who cares what happens to them.

We need "ET Radio" and I will host it for Baron. Steam some ES, CL and some stocks. Baron can fly in some hotties to read the news and out-trade the clowns.
