IS THIS PERFORMANCE REPORT BOGUS...

Avg 25.9R per winning trade is excellent. The 25% win rate & small avg loss makes this possible. Noobs/scammers always claim a win rate rate of 80-100%.

Seen a trader doing something like this backed with broker records - risking 2-4 ES ticks to make 6-7pts which gives you 24-28R & about the same avg loss & WR.

This trader IMHO looks like they know what they are doing as long as this was live trading. The vast majority never think or trade like this which is why I like it.

i have an attached performance report for an undisclosed system. Can anyone please tell me what the flaw in the performance report is.. i.e. is the performance report flawed, based on the reported stats?
Good Morning MISSSNP,

I have NinjaTrader 8.

Please send me the code in private message. Then I will tell you if it is real or fake.

Thank you,

correction - for trading the ES to have the 25.9R it would be risking 2 ticks with a 13pt target.
This is what it looks like:

Hello comagnum,

Good comment.

Are you sure someone can make this work manually?

With a risk of 2 ticks and reward of 13 points (52 ticks) this mean with 100 trades, there will be only 5 wins and 95 losses with a 5% win rate.

Win rate has to be 5% to make money with this trade management style.

I am not sure the human brain can handle a 5% win rate strategy, maybe an algo. I could be wrong, like you said, there are more than 1 way to skin a cat.

Its not easy to have a low win rate & larger targets. Your can be just as well off having a lower R if you take more trade setups. More than 1 way to skin a cat.

comagnum,

Is this what you are talking about? This is actually my favorite setup. Very LOW - Winning Percentage - but great WinLossRatio (HighWLR). It is all about Controlling Risk.

In my early trading days - I would often watch a Profitable trade - go Negative. While I want to give Price a chance to Run - I would much rather take a BreakEven trade - than go Negative - if that makes sense.

Have a great day.

I like it. The law of large numbers + edge with relentless execution. If your an active trader you can be green 80% of the days, despite having a 25% WR.
