Is this example of Algos at work ?

At exactly 12:45 AM EST all US based futures moved, including Gold. NQ moved 50 points, ES 13 points.

such a pattern is quite common.
It could be due to algos or whatever.
But the NQ, ES, and gold up movement were quite small.

Do note that the traders pushed NQ ES and gold down first,
then they pushed it up.

Also, note that Hangseng & China A50 already went up a few hours earlier.

You mean this? I don't know what that was all about. ES instantly came back up but GC took awhile. So must have been something. Too lazy to find out. But from what I know, algos aren't that active during the overnight session (at least not for the Asian market).

Yes. I was looking at NQ chart at the time which dropped ~45 points.

Had to clear out the stops before the nice move up.

Market was illiquid enough that it didn't even cost very much, just bang it down and up again.

Including Gold? Not GC, other than a small blip, then pullback:-

Anyway some got squeezed, does it really matter if algos or humans did it?
Doubt there is really a way to tell with any certainty.
