It's so-so. However, I personally wouldn't have a Small Form Factor computer. If the PSU goes out, you probably can't just run down to your neighborhood Best Buy and get another.
 
A month ago, I came across a Vostro-400 with Windows XP and an Intel E6850 Duo-Core 3.0 GHz processor with 2 gigs of the 800Mghz memory and an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GTS video card with an 80 Gig Hard Drive for:

$519.00 + tax


Initially, I came across a unit very similar to yours ( but also a Vostro-400 ) with the 2.66 Duo-Core Processor at 1333 front side bus for $499.00, but canceled the order and came back to find the one above for $519.00

Personally, I would go with the Vostro-400. that can be found on the Dell Business Outlet.

And don't worry about power supply units, you can upgrade with a standard ATX unit from Antec or PC Power & Cooling.

Whatever you do, stick with Windows XP ( the XP Pro is ideal ) and stay away from Vista!!!

Vista has way too many bugs still.
 
got my computer. in one regard, I got screwed. I was not aware that the video card disabled the onboard VGA. So I have a video card with a DVI and S-video output. Since I use dual monitors, I have to get a video card with 2 vga outputs. I don't even know if this is poss with the small form (pci express 16) cards. The computer also has a pci express 1 slot, so perhaps I can just add a second card. I've researched the cards on best buy and am going to check them out at the store.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of buying a small form model.

1. There never was any assurance that your onboard video was going to work with any video card.

2. Any"half height" video card will fit in your SSF case. Nvidia Quadro NVS 285 PCIEx16 would be ideal for trading.

SSF cases also have another potential problem... if the PSU goes out, you probably can't just run down to your local Best Buy and get a replacement. (I had a SSF once, and the PSU did go out. When I got it fixed, I immediately sold it. No more SSF for me.)
