Is there anyone who makes money in the stock market or commodity market?

check my thread 'trading is easy'... so I guess global-macro plus price action? lol.

I only have 142 IQ, so you will have no problem figuring this out with 160.... I think for high IQ people the challenge is actually 'being too smart'.... because you have been trained to associate success with effort... so for trading you need to 'dumb yourself down', accept the uncertainty, disassociate results from effort - in the sense that often the market doesn't go your way no matter how thorough you have done your home work.

I only have 138, that explains why I drool while I walk.

Many books I've read say that intelligence is not a factor in trading success, though I'm sure that is partly catering to the audience and partly saying that you don't need intelligence to BTFD over the last 10 years.

btw let me brag a little... I did pass on my 142 to my daughter, she measured 146 and that logical brain made her a top 20 Lincoln Douglas debater in the country.. and I was like hey that's terrific..

until my son made the pro gaming team.. and this is where the IQ test shows how much of the intelligence it does NOT measure... biologically a boy gets his intelligence from his mother... and my wife is 125.... and last week he made to the top of the skill ladder - world number 1.. so I am gonna brag even though I can't take credit for that.

Oh absolutely, IQ is stupid. I'm sure Nassim Taleb would tell you all about it.

I'd say that the stuff I laid out in the thread 'trading is easy'.... probably can be executed with 120 IQ.... definitely not rocket science.

I just tested you guys.
my IQ>160

You're either :

* Trolling
* Very young
* Or - Attention Seeking Disorder
* Or your Emotional IQ - is low

Wish you to identify the reason behind, your post that i quoted & address it. For your own sake/benefit.

,,If you have an IQ of 130, you can give 30 away to somebody''

- Warren Buffet

Me - i tell that number only to my closest friends.

Einstein didn't liked people, who brag about it.

What if one had IQ of genius level, but he was too lazy to achieve anything in his life.
Or his Emotional Intelligence was messed up (Nicholas Tesla), - didn't fit the society, or the ego, was his enemy number one.

That's a crime against humanity and universe, to waste such a gift ;
in the end - time, will reveal underachievers, achievers and overachievers.

Another interesting thing ,

people can deal emotionally much more easy, with the fact, that somebody is more wealthier than them, but it takes much more effort and control of ego, when it comes to the question of cognitive ability and someone being more smarter.

The fact that Patreon platform, banned few authors(writers), just because they questioned IQ differences between ethnical minorities - speaks for itself.

Could speak a lot about it, one of those topics...
