Is there anybody here from France ?

Hi

I'm based in Switzerland but I do go to Paris pretty often (also have some trader friends there), so PM me if you want to connect.

Cheers

If you want France without the taxes, try Andorra. 0% income tax. 300 days sunshine. You have to show an income of 35,000 dolllars a year and lend the government 25,000 euros which you get back when you leave. I think they only let 200 people in a year. There are already 1200 british taking advantange.

yep Cap d'Antibes looks like paradise . But professional traders can't seriously consider France for their fiscal residence.

0% tax? dont you still have to pay tax in whatever country you came from?

I´m swedish but have lived outside Sweden since 1988,
mainly in Portugal and the French Riviera.
The crimerate in Cannes and surrondings is terrible.
Cap d Antibes, watch up, all drugusers from Antibes
make a living on raids in C´d Antibes, if you want to live
there buy some guns and two securitiesguards 24 hour
per day! Don´t stop for red lights in the evening and
please drive a simple car with Rivieraplates.
I´m happy only three robberies during 10 years,
otherwise everything is very nice!

Here there was talk to drop capital gaines taxes to 15% flat rate.

Lots of TALK in your post. Do a search on capital gain taxes. In fact for trading like we understand it at ET, your profits will be taxed in France (and other EU countries) as ORDINARY INCOME (60%+). Your trading will be considered as a professional activity.

Well said, trading is considered as an ordinary income
in all Europeans countries. Everything else is just dreams
or if you ar lucky some unintillegent taxinspector.

hihg crime rate on the Riviera ? Had no idea ...

well at least you can have a handgun at home in France , that's one liberty they haven't taken away yet like in the UK

Just to add something more.
People seems to be very naive when they not can
realize the difference between capitalgains and trading
as a businessactivity.
I can now understand why + 90% of traders fails.
