Is there any way to get started back trading without having the funds to make a capital contribution? I've been trading off/on for the past 3yrs, but at this point in time I do not have the funds ready to open another account. Aside from asking a friend or family for a loan, or trying to find a legit firm that doesn't require a capital contribution, what can I do? Am I s.o.l until I get some more capital?? Thanks for the feedback in advance.

Well, I do appreciate that comment, but I guess I need to clarify that I have been looking for a job for the past year whenever I haven't been trading. But that task has proven a lot easier for me to accomplish than it did for you to type. For the life of me can't seem to land an offer, and it's left a rather sore spot on me to be honest. So, unless you are in a position to hire me as a Business/Financial/Operations Analyst I would rather not discuss that any further. As I said, I have 'been' looking, but this thread is not about my not having any luck finding a job. It is about my getting back to trading. If you have some insight and/or suggestions about that, I am interested to know what they might be. Thanks.

The thing is: You will be trading with scared money. Of course, Marty Schwartz in Market Wizards did it and made millions. But do you really need that monkey on your back? Trading demands focus and commitment.
Your very fortunate to be in Chicago. Keep plugging away at those firms. And. work a crap job if you have to. Sell the GSX with the Turbo intercooler and take public transportation.
