Is there a way to have customizable timeframes?

Depends on the timeframes. Heard others talking about the need of 1second and 5seconds.
(HFT makes 87 000 000 moves per/s and folks still not givin up - kudos for that. (Unless it's for coded stuff or competing with RH fomo degenerates))
Lets say, 3 days candle or 2.5 hrs candle -
not sure, how it would change anything for the better ?

TWS indeed does not have this. Also their API does not offer this: the longest time duration per bar is 1 month. You would have to construct this yourself by combining multiple 1-month bars.
You can put it on IB Feature Poll.
