Not sure about the economic calendar updates over the email, but if you follow the editors on the FXStreet then you will get emails every time they post an update

What you think is a bullish or bearish number will likely be at odds with the marketplace. Also, big specs and Commercials will frequently use countervailing order flow after a number to get into and out of monster positions. Point being - what you think is bearish ends up being a buying opportunity for some big swinging dicks.

Generally speaking - Economic releases don’t have the sizzle that they did a couple decades ago.
