Is there a platform completely web based?

Quote from dojistarz:

you could trade from your phone?

more and more brokers are offering this service.

LOL. Coming to a phone near you...in 1988.

OK, I was able to figure out how to view it. Looks promising. Can it give me 1-minute candles? (I don't necessarily have to have that...but it would be nice). Can I papertrade this platform to test it out?

TIA,

SM

Yes you can paper trade with IB's browser based WebTrader, you get a demo account with IB's regular account. I don't think you will get a 1-minute chart though.

By the 4th quarter a 100% web based application will be released for stocks, futures, options & ETF's.

And it will be free.

FOREX will be offered next year I'm told.

A friend of mine has a house in St. Martin and he uses gotomypc when he is there. Works fine for him.

Quote from rmorse:

Have the platform running on you home PC. For about '$20/month you can use a citrix program called gotomypc. On anyone's browser, you can sign in, see your desk top, trade from anywhere you can get a stable Internet connection. You will have the added bonus of always having access to you personal files through drag and drop. I can even use my iPad to access my desk top, but that's not great for trading.

Good luck...
