I know this must seem like an asinine question but a desktop calculator is line of fire hardware. There are several features that are always at issue: ease of using the memory function, can you read the display with the calculator flat on the desk, and are the keys and power source what you want. Can it invert a number when you've confused numerator and denominator? Can it take a square root; not sure why that's come up but it has. Are there important features I'm not even aware of.
If there is a clearly must-have calculator that the bigs use, I 'd like to know too.
