Is there a faster way to get economic reports than CNBC or Bloomberg Channels

Quote from brocklanders:

No, I've never used Forex Factory but I'll check it out. I subscribe to Reuters North American news feed and it is pretty good. The cost is much less ($65/mo) than DJnewswires or Bloomberg terminal so it is an option if you want faster news but aren't willing to spend a lot of money.

Thanks. I will check it out.

This thread begs the question, what would you do with faster news if you had it? Computers instantaneously analyze and respond to the news, and the resulting price tells you if the news was "good" or "bad". And human-reasoned confirmation or refutation follows within the time lag of most free news services. So whatcha gonna do widdit? Bet against the computers?

Reports like CPI, Curde Oil, Housing, Consumer Sentiment, etc.
Be aware that the market anticipates the news, no matter how fast a feed you get.

Besides top funds/banks know the figures to be released beforehand, so to the big playesrs this are just hardly news.

for those who trade with Bloombergs....I am curious what the order entry screens look like.....how fast can you switch from a news story to actually having an order placed?

post screenshots of the interface if possible

The analysis is not difficult or too time consuming IMO.

Get a job at Goldman Sachs. You can get the info the day before. :D

Thanks. I though you were joking, until I saw crgarcia make the same point.

Well, a Bloomberg Terminal is very timely in reporting.

ECO < GO > gets you stuff like housing/jobs/CPI

ECO 7 < GO > gets you agriculture data

ECO 10 < GO > gets you the weekly energy report (crude/gasoline/distillates on Wednesday, and gas on Thursday)

ECO 20 < GO > gets you the treasury auction results.
