This is the first deal stuck by EU, which requires specific provision of inclusion of Paris accord. Enforcement of future compliance no-one really knows. Atleast it is on paper and both signatories are enthusiastic about Paris accord.

The USD got its prominence by being everywhere, ruble/krona are nowhere. No one will give up sovereignty to crypto, so the most likely candidates are EUR and/or JPY.

Trump goal as President was better relations with his banker. And that meant saying fuck off to our NATO Allies. He's worked hard to improve relations with his banker.
