US debt is 65% of GDP, which is not much more than canada or germany. Italy is at 100%. So that puts it in perspective.
Good point !!

lousy point. did u include the latest bailout numbers? do you forget that the US is still for the moment a behemoth in the world compared to china or india?

Quote from Ticketwatcher:

What makes the United States a third world country is not the economic problems which has beset it as well as the rest of the world. The United States has become a third world country because its system of public education is ROTTEN and is becoming ROTTTENER with each passing day.

more useless, stupid, pathetic and ugly people everyday, and the government loves to hire them with your tax money, that's why they create useless entities like the TSA, only to create jobs for the morons who can't even talk properly have attitude problems and have no chance of getting whatever job in the real world, not even scrubbing toilets

Add to that....no one swims or climbs fences to get into those countries even with their social programs.

USA has and always will hold the "the dream"

Temporary ill's.

I guess you have never been to any of these countries and don't know much about the Turkish, Middle Eastern and African immigrants who are dying every day trying to get into Europe, the same as hispanics are dying to get to America.

My school district will give free/reduced lunch to kids regardless of legal status. Meanwhile other families are doing all they can to maintain a family budget that does not include maintaining a lifestyle they can not afford.

You cant seriously be advocating the idea of letting children go hungry? Can you? You do realize that with many of these kids, almost of all who's moms and dads are doing physical labor that Americans somehow seem to now think they are "above", the only real meal they get each day is in school. Are you saying we should just let the starve? I guess that might get them to "go back to where they came from".
