Is the economy rather sound?

It seems to me that the majority of our economy here in the US is actually sound.

It seems like only or at least mostly, finance and anything very involved with financing is what is broken.

Were it not for finances huge troubles would the US be having much economic trouble?

There is an economic slowdown, that's for sure.

But its not as bad as Wall Street and the media wants us to believe.
