My take. The Fed is putting out a bluff. Yellen also reversed and got on the same train, something to the effect that no need to have unlimited backing of deposits

They are going to wait until we get more bank failures, then they can have a reason to "use their many tools"

If no more bank failures, no need to do anything but continue to hike rates and cause people to lose as many jobs as possible and crash the markets

Think of the zombies approaching the building, don't shoot at them and then you miss and waste bullets. Let them get to the door and then rattatatatatat, boom boom pow(ell)
