Is the crypto winter over?

self-described anarcho-capitalist
That is interesting since the burgeoning movement from the original 13 Colonies to the west coast in the US was accompanied by Anarcho-Capitalism as the main form of local government. Just watch any US western film with John Wayne or Clint Eastwood and the local form of government is Anarcho-Capitalism.

The next president of Argentina will be Javier Milei as his opponent Sergio Massa conceded on Sunday evening, saying "Argentines chose another path."

With roughly 87% of the votes counted, Milei has 56% of the tally versus Massa's 44%, according to Bloomberg.

Trading quietly through most of the weekend, bitcoin (BTC) began rising late Sunday afternoon on chatter about a strong showing for Milei. Following Massa's concession, the crypto currently is higher by nearly 3% over the past 24 hours to $37,350.

"We have to understand that the central bank is a scam," said Milei earlier this year when asked about bitcoin. "What bitcoin is representing," he continued, "is the return of money to its original creator, the private sector."

Milei to this point, however, has not gone as far as proposing making bitcoin legal tender. He's instead calling to eliminate the country's central bank and dollarizing an Argentine economy that's been walloped by inflation that reached 142% in October.
Anyone see any parallels?

Yeah, this should bode well for Argentina...

How's that ETF thing panning out? The chart seems to indicate that we are heading down from here. I've doubled down on my existing short.

Hmm... despite I am LONG for the LONG-Game, I hope you are correct to be SHORT for the SHORT-TERM (no puns intended).

So far this year, in regard to all my Options/Futures/Futures-on-Options, my biggest loss for now is just under $700 for those LEAPs CALLs on HIVE. Peanuts compared to the profits so far (crossing fingers).

I really would like to see a temporary plummet further down in the REIT sector, then swoop in to buy more Vanguard/Blackrock ETFs in that sector.

After my last CME Group contract expires this Friday, I think that's it. No more DERIVATIVE trades for me in 2023.

No news on ETF, but we've had some major negative news on Kraken being sued and DOJ/Criminal stuff on Binance

You did not cover @ $36 PT? where did you double your short?

btc below $36k rn

No, I didn't cover. I doubled down when it went back up to 37.5K earlier in the day.
Closed all my position just above 37200. I suppose this is what happens when you get too greedy. Anyway, I'm taking some time off from BTC. I don't like her vibe.

You had the perfect spot to cover @ $36k, not sure what happened why you changed it

Btc vibe has been providing a very good trading vehicle, a nice range of volatility, I don't understand why you don't like it
